Battle Damaged R2D2

After getting lobotomized by Darth Vader in ANH.  This figure's been sitting around my work table for years.  I've painted and repainted him a couple of times.  Its hard to get the battle damage look right.  Even so I gave up.  Everything is pretty accurate but the blast mark on his dome looks dopey.  Too cartoony.  But... I think it might be just that the colors work against each other (light grey on aluminum paint).  2001 started, 2004 completed.
