Jesus Christ Superstar Roman Centurion

From the 1973 film version of the rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar, a modernistic Roman Centurion.  These guys have always struck me visually, I think its the placement of modern military gear in Biblical times, that and the purple shirt.  There's also a Star Wars connection, George Lucas was approached to direct the film version of JLC but declined.
